The Town of Brant tries its best to place dogs back into custody of their original owners. However, after five days, the Town is required to adopt them out or euthanize them. It is our current DCO, Barbara Daniel, who extends their stay in her kennel in hopes of finding them good homes. If you would like to donate dog food to eleviate the cost of these extended stays, you can contact the Brant Town Clerk’s Office at 716-549-0282 (option 2).
(On 4/7/11 the Town was notified by Purina thay they will provide our strays the food they need! Please support this animal loving company by purchasing their products as a way of thanking them for their support!)
Also, if you would like to foster a dog whose five days is expired, until a forever home is found, please call Brant DCO at 716-208-8549. Any help in preventing the euthanasia of these dogs are always appreciated.
